there’s gonna be this reflection about a year from now where all the idiotic fandoms on here are going to look back at the day when yahoo! bought tumblr and realize that they came very close to acting as if trillions of locusts mysteriously appeared and an unknown plague suddenly threatened human existence
OK, so those of you that are extremely upset about Yahoo! buying tumblr, need to take a few deep breaths and calm down. It was purely a business transaction; there was no malicious intent. The owner of tumblr just wanted to make some money. But threatening the Yahoo! staff members, directly or indirectly, as a joke or not, with bodily harm or murder, is completely disrespectful, and you should know better. I know you love tumblr, and I love it too, but change is inevitable. If you want the Yahoo! staff to take your opinion seriously, be respectful. Act like an adult.
Who knows? Maybe tumblr will change for the better. If not, well, then I’m wrong. Either way, a little respect goes a long way.
